The Optimum Wellness Plan follows the philosophies of functional medicine and integrative nutrition. If you are active, “generally healthy”, proactive about eating well and exercising, but want to determine how to reduce GI symptoms, fatigue, or ensure your nutrition intake supports your lifestyle, this is the program for you. This plan is recommended during the “off season” for a competitive athlete, and does not include fueling for training and racing.
The most common complaints of clients in this program are:

Outline of the Plan:
Weeks 1 – 3 (Assess and Analyze):
- Behavioral and lifestyle: work, life schedule and obstacles to implementing change
- Identify triggers of overeating, undereating, or restrictive eating (if applicable)
- Review food, supplement, beverage, supplement tracker
- Review symptom tracker
- Review medications and nutritional supplements
- Review biochemical lab results (e.g. lipid panel, complete blood count, comprehensive metabolic panel, hormone panels, Vitamin D, inflammatory markers, blood sugar markers)
- Recommendations for additional labs: Stool test (GI Effects), Comprehensive Nutrition Evaluation, Mycotoxin Testing, Autoimmune Panel, Environmental Toxins, Glyphosate, and Heavy Metals.
- Most lab fees are paid directly to the lab providing the test. Coverage or discounts through health insurance vary per test.
- Create weekly food goals, and behavior change goals
Weeks 3-5 (Implement and Improve):
- Grocery list
- Supplement recommendations (if necessary)
- Practical recommendations for meal plan (e.g weekdays vs. weekend lifestyle)
- Meal plan outlining total calories, macronutrient percentages, energy expenditure
- Progress through various elimination diets to determine what works. For example: FODMAP, Gluten Free, Dairy Free, HFLC, Paleo, Ketogenic.
Working Together:
- Bi-monthly 30 min. zoom calls – “strategy, support, and guidance” sessions
- Unlimited email
- Expertise of a licensed clinical dietitian working collaboratively with primary care physicians, endocrinologists, and psychologists.
